The role requires implementing Michigan licensing policies, planning professional development, managing inspections, and fostering a culture of diversity and teamwork within the center.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• Ability to communicate positively with children, families, partners, and team members.
• Ability to lead a team of up to twenty people and work well in a collaborative setting.
• Open to constructive criticism and committed to learning and growth.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion across cultures, religions, races, and abilities.
• Demonstrates professionalism, strong work ethics, and leadership qualities in a childcare environment.
• Oversee operation of the childcare center to maintain a high-quality, nurturing, safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations of the childcare center.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan childcare licensing rules and related programs.
• Enforce center policies and ensure adherence.
• Manage inspections and licensing renewals with the owner.
• Attend Monthly Director meetings and coordinate professional development events.
