About This Role

Do you have a passion for all things early childhood? Yes? So do we. Join our Keene Day Care Center team and share that passion with the little ones entrusted to our care. We are looking for someone who is energetic, playful, kind, respectful, curious, and reliable. The Associate Teacher is responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher in developing a cohesive teaching team and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. The Associate Teacher must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe, stimulating, culturally sensitive classroom environment. Ages served: 6 weeks - 5 year-olds. Full and Part Time opportunities available.

What You\'ll Do
  • Build nurturing, loving relationships with children.
  • Ensure all Center policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures, as well as state regulations, are met.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in implementing educational curriculum.
  • Temporarily assume extra responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
  • Be present and attentive and actively engaged at all times.
  • Cultivate an open, friendly, professional relationship with families.
  • Contribute to teaching team success.
Requirements
  • 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 9 credits in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within first 30 days of hire.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Nice To Haves
  • Associates degree in Early Childhood Educations.
  • Previous experience working in an early childhood program.
  • Any of the following:
    • Experience with Pyramid Model
    • Experience with Conscious Discipline
    • Experience with Environment Rating Scales
    • Knowledge of Strengthening Families Protective Factors
    • Familiarity with NH Granite Steps for Quality
