Child Development Schools in Wilson, North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a nurturing early childhood classroom. You will help deliver age-appropriate activities, engage children through hands-on learning, and build warm relationships with families in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and high school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and ability to build relationships with families.
• Care for children with safety and well-being as a priority.
• EA degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist Lead Teacher with delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Develop warm, consistent daily communication with families.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
