Job summary

TempCare Childcare Staffing Inc. is seeking a Teacher to assist the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging classroom for infants through TK. You will support daily routines, contribute to lesson plans, and foster positive relationships with families.

The role requires 12 ECE units, 6 months of Early Childhood experience, and CPR/First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them within 90 days. California licensing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 ECE semester units including core courses referenced in the job posting.
• Preferred: Teacher Child Development Permit or higher.
• Minimum 6 months experience in an early childhood program (paid or volunteer).
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing curriculum and activities for child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom with supervision from Lead Teacher.
• Engage children in active learning through structured and unstructured play.
• Monitor and document children’s progress per developmental goals and guidelines.
• Support meals, toileting, and daily care routines as needed.
• Communicate professionally with families and team members.
