The Learning Experience – Manassas City is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. You will work with Lead Teachers to create a safe, positive environment where children learn through play and daily routines.

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with classroom routines and learning activities.
• Support children during meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
• Encourage positive social interaction, communication, and independence.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing requirements and center policies.
