Job summary

Child Care Associates in Texas seeks a Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and campus staff in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. You will assist with activities that promote growth while ensuring constant supervision and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, maintaining a clean classroom, supporting meals and routines, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain an age-appropriate CDA within one year (related degrees may substitute).
• Minimum six months of childcare experience.
• Strong understanding of human behavior and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support campus staff and assist in assigned classrooms as needed.
• Guide children in activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development under teacher supervision.
• Respond to individual developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
• Actively supervise children indoors and on the playground.
• Keep classroom areas clean, organized, and sanitary, including light cleaning tasks.
• Complete 20 hours of annual training and attend required staff development.
