Job summary

Sonnet Montessori is seeking an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment for young children in Minnesota. You will participate in daily activities, caregiving routines, and fostering children's independence while collaborating with staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and clear communication to ensure positive development and compliance with safety and school policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check required.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and supervise children indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator in implementing routines, activities, and lesson plans.
• Supervise children at all times (within sight and hearing).
• Support caregiving needs including feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed.
• Encourage independence, confidence, problem-solving, and responsibility.
• Interact with children during circle time, free play, meals, and outdoor activities.
