Sonnet Montessori seeks an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. You will participate in daily classroom activities, caregiving routines, and child growth documentation, working within a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and strong communication, with a starting hourly pay range of $14 to $16 for Iowa-based positions. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and childcare discounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to supervise children and follow safety ratios.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or required within 90 days.
• Experience with young children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator with routines, activities, and lesson plans.
• Supervise children at all times and maintain ratios.
• Support caregiving needs including feeding, diapering, toiling, and medications as needed.
• Encourage independence and problem-solving in children.
• Engage daily with children during circle time, play, meals, and outdoor activity.
• Document observations using the parent app and communicate with families.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and school environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and maintain professionalism under stress.
• Report accidents or concerns per state law and school policies.
