Job summary

The Salt Lake City School District is seeking a Daycare Assistant to help plan, organize, and deliver a daily program for children aged 0-6 years. You will supervise, communicate effectively, and maintain a clean, safe classroom in alignment with regulations.

Starting wage is $16.50 per hour with part-time status (0.7375 FTE). Anticipated start date is 09/14/2026, and the role requires fingerprinting and a background check to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting and background check required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (phone, copier, scanner, fax).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing daily activities to support the program.
• Provide basic care needs (toileting, diapering, changing clothes, bottle feeding).
• Deliver age-appropriate program activities and positive reinforcement.
• Promote good hygiene and positive development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Collaborate with team and listen to supervisory instructions.
