Job summary

Cotulla ISD is seeking an Early Childhood Learning Center Paraprofessional to support teachers in the Cotulla Early Childhood Learning Center. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment for young children and assist with daily activities and classroom management.

The role requires CPR/First Aid, a CDA credential, and a valid Texas driver’s license, with duties including documentation, supervision, and student supervision during various school day activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDA Credential is required.
• College coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and classroom materials/displays as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in completing required documentation, including incident, accident, ADA, conference, health, and narrative forms.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Support children's activities during indoor and outdoor play, learning stations, and transitions.
• Change diapers and assist with toileting as needed, following proper hygiene protocols.
• Supervise children at all times, including during nap time, meals, recess, and transitions.
