Job summary

The Family Partnership in Minneapolis, MN is hiring two part-time Teacher’s Aides to support Lead and Assistant Teachers at Four Directions, a full-day therapeutic education and care program for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years. This role advances language immersion and culturally responsive early childhood education in partnership with Wicoie Nandagikendan.

Candidates should have experience in early childhood settings, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood or childcare settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage physically with children.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers during activities, transitions, play, meals, and rest.
• Actively supervise children at all times.
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate interactions.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines.
• Maintain safe, organized classroom and playground environments.
• Reinforce strategies from therapists and clinicians.
