Job summary

MINNESOTA VALLEY ACTION COUNCIL, INC. is hiring a Head Start Aide in New Ulm, MN. The role supports classroom operations, meal preparation, and supervision of children, with potential bus assistance.

You will work under guidance to promote school readiness and family goals, building professional relationships with families and staff. Qualifications

• Prefer previous work or volunteer experience with groups of preschool age children and working with the public.
• Prefer degree in Early Childhood or Center Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills beneficial.
• Bilingual skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Aides assist with the daily classroom learning environment and implementation of the curriculum.
• Provide food service and transportation services (if provided) to children.
• Abide by MVAC Policies, Head Start Performance Standards, and Department of Children Youth and Families Childcare Center Statutes and Rules.
• Complete required paperwork and data entry accurately within established timelines following program requirements and the established protocol
