• Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment in safe condition.
• Assist the Lead Instructor in areas requiring extra help.
• Immediately report major incidents to the Recreation Supervisor.
• Assist with program delivery and safety of participants.

Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.90 Hourly

TITLE: Early Childhood Aide / Part-Time Position

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

PAY: $15.00 - $15.90 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction and supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Early Childhood Aide is responsible for assisting the Early Childhood Lead Instructor in all aspects of the early childhood programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in cleaning and setting up the classroom before each program


• Assist in cleaning and setting up the classroom after each program

• Assist the Early Childhood Lead Instructor in areas which they require extra help


• Immediately report any and all major incidents to the Recreation Supervisor

While performing the duties of this position, the Early Childhood Aide may be exposed to work-related stress and pressure in the following areas:

PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must meet the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time


• Ability to lift and carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds independently


• Exposure to indoor environments and outdoor conditions during program activities
