Job summary

Thrive By 5 in New York City is seeking dedicated ABA therapists to provide early intervention services to children birth to 3 with autism. Opportunities are available as part-time or full-time across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

You will work 1:1 with children and their families, implement embedded coaching, review IFSP goals, and collect data daily. NYS certification in one of the listed areas and 10–12 hours of ABA training are required; strong communication and

Responsibilities

• Develop individual education, academic, daily living skills, and socialization goals.
• Work 1:1 with developmentally delayed children and their families using embedded coaching to promote goal generalization and maintenance.
• Provide home and community-based ABA therapy, review IFSP goals, create intervention plans with the Clinical Supervisor, and collect data daily.
• Collaborate with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other ABA providers to support IFSP goals.
• Complete session notes and progress reports as required by the early intervention program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Thrive By 5 is a pediatric therapy agency providing services to children birth-3 years old. We are seeking strong part time or full time ABA therapists to provide early intervention services to children with autism in New York City. Opportunities are available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities are not limited to the following:

• Develop individual education, academic, daily living skills, and socialization goals
• Work 1:1 with developmentally delayed children and their families using an embedded coaching model to provide support, information, and skills to promote generalization/maintenance of goals and enhance the development of the child to be able to socially navigate the environment around them and in the community.
• Provide home and community based ABA therapy, which includes reviewing IFSP goals and objectives, creating intervention plans with the Clinical Supervisor, and using discrete trials to take data collection daily and analyze data on a bi weekly-monthly basis.
• Collaborate with other service providers to support IFSP goals and objectives, including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other ABA providers
• Complete session notes and progress reports as required by the early intervention program
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• B.A., M.A., or M.S. and New York State Certification in one of the following areas:
  • Special Education Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 Certification
  • Special Education Permanent Certification
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • TSSLD or TSHH
  • LBA
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • BCBA
• 10-12 hours of ABA training
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to collaborate with the clinical team and all related service providers on a caseload
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
