Job summary

Thrive By 5, a pediatric therapy agency in New York City, seeks strong ABA therapists for part-time or full-time roles serving children birth-3 with autism across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

Responsibilities include developing goals, 1:1 coaching with families, home and community ABA therapy, data collection, and collaboration with SLPs, OTs, PTs and other providers. Qualifications include NY certifications and BCBA as options.

Qualifications

• Experience providing ABA therapy to children birth-3 and collaborating with families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team-based care.
• Ability to collect and review data to monitor progress.
• New York State certifications in relevant areas are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized goals for education, daily living, and socialization.
• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy using embedded coaching with families.
• Review IFSP goals, create intervention plans, and track data daily with biweekly analysis.
• Collaborate with Speech, OT, PT and other ABA providers to support IFSP objectives.
• Complete session notes and progress reports as required.
• Attend to additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Thrive By 5 is a pediatric therapy agency providing services to children birth-3 years old. We are seeking strong part time or full time ABA therapists to provide early intervention services to children with autism in New York City. Opportunities are available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities are not limited to the following:

• Develop individual education, academic, daily living skills, and socialization goals
• Work 1:1 with developmentally delayed children and their families using an embedded coaching model to provide support, information, and skills to promote generalization/maintenance of goals and enhance the development of the child to be able to socially navigate the environment around them and in the community.
• Provide home and community based ABA therapy, which includes reviewing IFSP goals and objectives, creating intervention plans with the Clinical Supervisor, and using discrete trials to take data collection daily and analyze data on a bi weekly-monthly basis.
• Collaborate with other service providers to support IFSP goals and objectives, including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other ABA providers
• Complete session notes and progress reports as required by the early intervention program
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• B.A., M.A., or M.S. and New York State Certification in one of the following areas :
  • Special Education Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 Certification
  • Special Education Permanent Certification
  • TSSLD or TSHH
  • LBA
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • BCBA
• 10-12 hours of ABA training
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to collaborate with the clinical team and all related service providers on a caseload
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
