Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a software engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to design, develop, and maintain features for Fortinet products. You will contribute to switch-controller features for FortiGate and FortiSwitch, fix bugs, and ensure timely, high-quality software delivery.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of software engineering experience, strong C/Linux skills, and familiarity with TCP/IP networking and sockets. This role requires work authorization in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Strong C/Linux experience essential.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, switching and routing.
• Familiarity with socket programming.
• Familiarity with ARM and x86 architectures in a multi process/thread programming environment.
• Knowledge of general QA procedures and software development fundamentals.
• Knowledge of scripting languages: Shell and Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $134,000 - $220,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
