Philip Morris International U.S. is hiring an Operations Process Specialist for an early careers, entry-level opportunity in Owensboro, KY.

The role builds hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, data analysis, and continuous improvement while supporting production teams to ensure quality and consistency. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain operations, data analytics or a related technical field preferred.
• Relevant internship/co-op/academic project or up to two years in manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, data analysis or process improvement.
• Interest in using statistics, data, and practical problem-solving to improve processes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; exposure to SAP or another planning system is a plus.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, resource planning, or demand forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned process activities and help ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and in line with PMI standards.
• Support the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of production processes within your assigned area.
• Track progress against department performance targets, identify trends, and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Apply established procedures, adapt approved methods, and escalate issues that fall outside your technical or decision scope.
• Use data, statistics, and practical problem-solving tools to analyze process performance, losses, and root causes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by collecting ideas, supporting evaluations, completing assigned actions, and helping implement approved improvements.
• Coordinate tests of new technologies or materials, document results, support training needs, maintain process documentation, and help prepare for audits.

What You’ll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain operations, data analytics or a related technica field preferred
• Relevant experience through an internship, co-op, academic project, military service, or up to two years of work in manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, data analysis, process improvement, or a related technical area
• Interest in using statistics, data, and practical problem-solving to improve processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel: exposure to SAP or another planning system is a plus
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, resource planning, or demand forecasting through coursework or experience
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, curiosity, and learning agility
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Strong Candidates Will Have

• Familiarity with continuous improvement approaches such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methods
• Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis, Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, or 8D

Annual Base Salary Range - $73,600 - $92,000
