Job summary
Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an Early-Career Water Resources Engineer in the Wilmington, NC area with opportunities for hybrid work across Wilmington, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greenville. You will apply academic knowledge to real-world water resources and ecological restoration projects while growing business skills in a multidisciplinary team.
The role supports H&H analysis, watershed design, and environmental data analysis, with exposure to cutting-edge tools and client-focused project
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/biosystems engineering or related science is required.
- Internship experience in environmental consulting is preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel are required.
- Some field work and overnight travel are required.
Responsibilities
- Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling.
- Watershed, stormwater management, and stream restoration design and analysis.
- Surface water quality/hydrodynamic modeling and environmental data analysis.
- Green infrastructure/low impact development best management practice design.
- Floodplain modeling and permitting.
- Erosion and sediment control design.
- Clean Water Act/NPDES compliance.
- Site visits/field investigations; and
- Preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
