Job summary

Roblox is seeking an Early Career Software Engineer in San Francisco to learn from mentors and contribute to features reaching millions of users globally. You will design, code, and deploy real features across Roblox's platform, gaining hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle.

You will work with engineers, data, design, product, QA, and DevOps, tackling ambitious projects and evolving our distributed systems while handling vast daily analytics events and a strong engineering

Qualifications

• Pursuing or in possession of an undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or an equivalent practical experience.
• Experienced with software engineering concepts through coursework, internships, personal projects, or previous roles.

Responsibilities

• Join a community of curious, supportive engineers, actively engaging in architectural discussions and system design.
• Investigate and experiment with cutting-edge technologies, like ML frameworks and LLMs, to solve complex technical challenges.
• Design, code, and test innovative features from design to production deployment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive products and features.
• Support evolution of distributed systems at Roblox's massive scale (2 trillion analytics events/day).
• Engage in team matching with engineering managers across Roblox to guide placement.
