Job summary

Red Oak Technologies in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Early Career Project Manager to join a hands-on team delivering technology projects. You will run agile ceremonies alongside senior PMs, translate business needs into clear requirements, and help grow into broader product and program ownership.

This role is onsite three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu) per client schedule. You will collaborate with engineering leads, product owners, and analysts to keep scopes and timelines aligned while developing

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of Places technology projects, tracking scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and maintain a healthy backlog.
• Capture requirements and write clear, consumable user stories with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with BAs, UX/UI designers, and engineering leads on scoping and dependencies.
• Prepare and deliver project status updates, surfacing risks, blockers, and resolution to leadership.
• Assist with test planning, UAT coordination, and validation of results.
• Document current-state processes and identify gaps and improvements.
• Grow into a trusted partner for your product area.

In this role you'll work alongside senior PMs, product owners, and engineering leads — running agile ceremonies, keeping projects on track, and translating business needs into clear requirements. This is a hands-on role for someone who's organized, curious, and eager to grow into broader product and program ownership.

Key Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience as a Project, Product, or Program Manager, ideally in a technology or Places-adjacent environment
• Working knowledge of agile principles and the software development lifecycle; comfortable participating in or facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and demos
• Self-starter with strong curiosity and problem-solving instincts
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage a varied workload, and keep details from slipping
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to bridge business and technical audiences
• Experience gathering and documenting business or functional requirements, including writing user stories
• Comfortable synthesizing data and presenting findings in digestible terms
• Effective collaborator across cross-functional teams; builds trust quickly at all levels
• Able to spot risks early and escalation or drive them to resolution
• Familiarity with project/work management tooling (e.g., Wrike, Jira, or similar) a plus

• Assist with test planning, UAT coordination, and validation of results
• Document current-state processes and help identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Build strong working relationships across the organization and grow into a trusted partner for your product area
