Job summary

General Matter is seeking an early-career Test Engineer to design, test, and validate the hardware behind advanced enrichment technology in the US. You will own test infrastructure, support test setup, and work with design engineers to verify performance and reliability of systems throughout development.

This role favors hands-on experimentation and problem solving. Ideal candidates have a recent engineering degree and 1+ years in hardware development or testing, with experience in fixtures,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or similar engineering field.
• 1+ years of experience in hardware development or test engineering, from projects, internships or professional work.
• Ability to design and fabricate test fixtures, adapters and tools for testing.
• Experience with digital-hardware communication/integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom test solutions and data acquisition systems for in-house hardware.
• Lead design reviews, run data analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to drive reliability improvements.
• Build test equipment, implement test automation, analyze failures and run qualification campaigns.
