Job summary

General Matter is seeking an early-career Test Engineer to build, test, and validate the hardware behind advanced enrichment technology. You’ll own test infrastructure, set up experiments, collect data, and work with design engineers to verify performance and reliability of systems.

You’ll help develop test methods, troubleshoot results, and identify improvements while gaining broad exposure across engineering disciplines and directly impacting critical technology reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or similar engineering field.
• 1+ years of experience in hardware development, test engineering, experience via project team, research, internship, and/or professional experience.
• Ability to design and fabricate test fixtures, adapters, and other tools needed for testing.
• Experience with digital-hardware communication/integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom test solutions and data acquisition systems for in-house developed mechanical and electrical hardware.
• Lead design reviews, run data analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans.
• Work closely with responsible design and manufacturing engineers to drive reliability improvements
• Build test equipment, implement test automation, analyze failures and execute qualification campaigns.
