Job summary

BankUnited in Melville, NY seeks a Junior Securities Portfolio Analyst to support the Chief Investment Office with periodic reporting and quantitative analysis of the fixed income portfolio. The role collaborates with the Investment Office and interacts with Credit, Operations, and Technology teams.

You will build portfolio reports using Python, SQL, Bloomberg, Tableau, and Intex; perform credit stress scenarios and rate shocks; assist in quarterly valuation; and support portfolio construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 0-3 years of work experience required.
• Experience with structured products is a strong plus.
• Experience with CAS and/or Intex is a plus.
• Experience working with data using Python (NumPy, Pandas) is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, Athena, Glue, Redshift) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain portfolio reports using Python, AWS, SQL, Bloomberg, CAS, Tableau, and Intex.
• Perform investment analysis, credit stress scenarios, and interest rate shocks on fixed income securities.
• Assist Portfolio Managers in quarterly securities portfolio valuation and performance assessment.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers on portfolio construction and investment strategy using data and statistical analysis.
• Participate in special projects requiring quantitative analysis.
