Job summary

Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) seeks a Fire Protection Engineer at an early career level to help implement fire protection programs at the Richland/Hanford site. The role includes inspections, document reviews, and program management to reduce hazards and protect people and the environment.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, either a recent graduate or with 1–2 years of experience, and familiarity with IBC/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with IBC, NFPA and safety regulations
• Professional membership or registration as Fire Protection Engineer
• Strong technical, problem-solving and time-management skills
• Current position related to Hanford or AHJ experience
• DOE/industrial nuclear experience recommended

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing CPCCo Fire Protection Program
• Develop and review fire protection documents
• Run CPCCo FPP programmatic assessments and improvements
• Process exemption and deviation requests
• Support safety culture and protection of workers and environment

Skills

IBC/NFPA familiarity

Professional member grade (SFPE)

Strong technical skills

Hanford AHJ experience

Education

BS degree in Engineering
