Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Early-Career Environmental Engineer or Scientist to join our environmental management and site assessment team in our Chattanooga or Knoxville, TN office.

• Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
• Two years of related experience or equivalent (preferred).
• Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required; provided by Geosyntec).
• Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
• Prior field sampling or research experience in contaminated media (preferred).
• Prior internship in environmental consulting (preferred).
• Experience with ArcView and/or Microsoft Access (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Fieldwork including soil, soil gas, indoor air, groundwater, and surface water sampling; drilling and oversight of contractors.
• Vapor intrusion assessments, vapor mitigation system design, construction oversight, testing, and monitoring.
• Environmental due diligence (Phase I/Phase II ESAs).
• Regulatory compliance and permitting for air, stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous/universal waste and chemical handling.
• Data analysis; preparing maps, tables, figures.
• Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specs, proposals.
• Brownfields redevelopment planning and contractor oversight during construction.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with clients under tight deadlines.
• Drive personal/company vehicles to project sites as needed.
