Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include:

1. Assisting in planning and designing Abandoned Mine Land (AML) and reclamation projects
2. Impoundment design and inspections
3. Site design and grading
4. Stormwater design and permitting (including NPDES)
5. Preparing technical reports
6. Managing projects in collaboration with senior engineering staff

Domestic travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, and corporate visits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, environmental, or mining engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• At least 1 year of mining engineering work experience
• Experience with mining-related software such as AutoCAD Map 3D, Carlson, REAME, Sedcad, or similar
• At least 1 year of slope stabilization experience
• Experience interpreting and applying NEPA guidelines
