Description

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering the world's greatest hot sandwich and other menu items to our guests in a courteous, safe, and timely manner. The Delivery Driver also assists the store with building our sandwiches, salads, wraps, sides, and desserts, while consistently following the proper recipes and procedures, and adhering to Earl of Sandwich's high standards regarding food presentation, cleaning, and sanitation. Each Delivery Driver must be comfortable working in a team environment where they ensure the needs of our guests are the number one priority so that we may deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

1. Thoroughly understands the layout of the local streets and highways, including quickest and alternate routes from the store to the final destination.
2. Transports and carries delivery items and objects, including containers, hot boxes, coolers and trays.
3. Answers the telephone within 3 rings and with a smile in his/her voice.
4. Takes the guests order and handles cash and credit transactions.
5. Possesses basic cash handling skills.
6. Enters order accurately into the POS system.
7. Handles guests problems efficiently and in a friendly manner.
8. Prepares sandwiches, salads, and wraps using recipe specifications.
9. Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items.
10. Suggestively sells additional menu items.
11. Checks food quality to ensure it is fresh and safe to serve.
12. Greets guests when they are entering and leaving to make them feel comfortable and welcome.
13. Maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensures proper set up and/or breakdown of the entire restaurant including dining room, kitchen, prep areas and restrooms.
14. Assists with cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
15. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using hand truck.
16. Accurately processes order paperwork and payment transactions.
17. Delivers local store marketing materials throughout delivery area to help increase sales.
18. Performs any other duties assigned by a member of the management team.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and obey all traffic regulations while driving.
