Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Elkridge, MD seeks an Export Licensing Specialist to support EAR/ITAR licensing, license applications, and compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience supporting export licensing, authorizations, or compliance under EAR.
• Working knowledge of EAR licensing requirements and license exceptions.
• Experience preparing or supporting export license applications and documentation.
• Familiarity with ITAR and export classifications or license strategies.
• Experience with SNAP-R, DECCS, OCR EASE, SAP GTS or similar trade systems.

Responsibilities

• Review activities to determine export authorization requirements under EAR and ITAR when applicable.
• Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications and supporting docs.
• Evaluate and advise on EAR license exceptions and licensing strategies.
• Review classifications and licensing requirements to support compliant international activities.
• Ensure compliance with license conditions, reporting, and provisos.
• Maintain accurate export licensing records and documentation.
• Conduct peer reviews of license applications and determinations for accuracy.
• Partner with Engineering, PM, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal and others on licensing needs.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance procedures, guidance materials, and training.
• Deliver training and awareness programs on export licenses and exceptions.
