Job summary

Golden Key Group is seeking an experienced EAP Counselor to provide confidential counseling, assessment, referral, and wellness services for federal agency employees in Springfield, Virginia. The role focuses on workplace and career concerns, emotional health, and overall wellbeing, with start anticipated in early 2027.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and on-site work in Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (state license).
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in counseling, assessments, and referrals.
• Knowledge of substance-use screening and crisis response.
• Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication and case-management skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential short-term counseling and consultation to eligible employees.
• Counsel individuals on workplace and career concerns, emotional health, and wellness.
• Conduct initial assessments to identify concerns and determine services.
• Screen for substance-use disorders and other behavioral health issues.
• Provide treatment referrals and connect employees with resources.
• Offer crisis support and intervention within the EAP scope.
• Help employees develop strategies for managing stress and transitions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case documentation.
• Protect employee privacy and comply with ethical and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with EAP leadership and customer representatives while preserving confidentiality.
• Provide educational resources and wellness support based on workforce needs.
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables per contract requirements.
• Maintain current professional licensure and complete continuing education.
