JOB TITLE: EAM Systems Technician

DURATION: 6 mo+

RATE RANGE: $70-88/hour

Position Summary

The Engineer Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is a critical enterprise business activity which brings together many aspects of installed asset optimization, life-cycle management, and investment prioritization. The EAM Systems Technician supports EAM business activity by facilitating training, responding to systems support requests, and working on activities across all company enterprise systems including Maximo, Mobile, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, BIRT, along with Capital and Maintenance projects. The technician is responsible for building, supporting, and ensuring the functional and efficient use of all EAM systems by all stakeholder groups while meeting customer satisfaction, safety, performance, and asset management maturity goals. They collaborate with system stakeholders to design, develop, test, train, and recommend system solutions that support the company’s Asset Management goals. This position can be located in San Jose, Bakersfield, or Torrance, CA.

Essential Functions
  • Manage water Distribution, Production, and Treatment assets in enterprise asset management (EAM) systems/applications.
  • Analyze business processes and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system requirement specifications.
  • Develop analytical methodologies for the EAM platform and assess the suitability of EAM applications for specific projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing standardized procedures and documents for business systems, including process definition, reengineering, and change management. Provide system issue support to users.
  • Prepare and distribute routine and custom reports for various departments supporting EAM systems.
  • Create visualizations, reports, and analyses.
  • Respond to, track, and resolve support requests.
  • Provide technical assistance and training support to customers.
  • Develop, document, and implement standardized processes and procedures.
  • Support EAM application end-users in areas such as user access management, training material development, report creation, and delivery.
  • Maintain online system documentation, troubleshoot, track, and resolve moderate system errors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical/vocational certification in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred. A business degree with technical analyst skills or experience is also desirable.
  • At least two years of experience with enterprise asset management platforms and data concepts; IBM Maximo experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Skills in system and process analysis and definition.
  • Proficiency in data entry, management, and document creation.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management and Business Analyst fundamentals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Valid California Driver License.
