Job summary

E11EVEN Club Hotel and Residences is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the property’s engineering department and ensure peak reliability of all systems. This role drives maintenance strategies, safety governance, and guest-focused service quality across the hotel and residences.

The position requires at least 3 years of supervisory maintenance experience in hospitality, with strong HVAC/electrical/plumbing expertise and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• Technical certification with leadership experience accepted.
• Stationary Engineer's license if required by local regulations.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering operations, ensuring property systems and grounds are maintained to high safety and performance standards.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and asset preservation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including ADA requirements.
• Supervise, train, and motivate engineering staff in safety protocols and service delivery.
• Manage departmental schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts; participate in monthly reviews.
• Lead energy conservation and sustainability initiatives across the property.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and alarms; take decisive corrective action.
• Review guest feedback and resolve engineering-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Manage vendor contracts and oversee special projects or renovations as needed.
• Participate in safety committees and support all property-wide programs.

In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, maintaining peak efficiency and safety across all systems. Your leadership will safeguard the integrity of our property while delivering an environment where guests and residents experience comfort, sophistication, and reliability at every turn. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily engineering operations, ensuring all property systems, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.
• Assist in developing and implementing plans for preventative maintenance and asset preservation.
• Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ADA requirements.
• Supervise, train, and motivate engineering staff in customer service, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
• Create and manage departmental schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts; participate in monthly profit/loss reviews.
• Implement and monitor emergency and life safety systems, ensuring inspections and certifications meet brand standards.
• Lead energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and alarms, taking immediate action to resolve issues.
• Review guest feedback and ensure timely resolution of any engineering-related concerns.
• Manage vendor contracts and oversee special projects or renovations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field; technical certification with at least 1 year of leadership experience accepted.
• Stationary Engineer's license if required by local regulations.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently).
• Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
