Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a Senior Data Integration Engineer to lead system-of-systems integration and data sharing efforts supporting DoD/Space Force programs. You will help drive digital transformation, define data architectures, and liaison with government partners to enable modern data platforms.

Role requires a Bachelor's in CS/IT/STEM/Cyber with 8+ years of experience, TS/SCI with SAP eligibility, and strong cloud/data skills across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/STEM/Cyber plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Design and maintain databases and data interfaces.
• Perform data integration in distributed cloud/hybrid environments.
• Develop data sharing architectures and cross‑domain solutions.
• Document solutions with diagrams, comments, and clear code.

Responsibilities

• Drive system of systems integration to deliver enterprise command and control capabilities.
• Guide development of enabling software, network, data, and platform capabilities.
• Facilitate digital transformation and standardize engineering, integration, and test processes.
• Integrate cost and schedule constraints with the technical baseline.
• Define methodologies to acquire and integrate data and improve processes.
• Identify other space domain data sources for integration.
• Provide advice for unstructured/structured data integration solutions.
• Evaluate data architecture and initiate modernization steps.
• Analyze data management plans, processes, and tools to improve integration strategy.
• Collaborate with government and partners to define data sharing in UDL/Warp Core.
• Support UDL/Warp Core architecture for software applications.
• Support design of data sharing architecture including cross‑domain, VPN, cloud.
• Work with authorities to ensure cyber boundary compliance.
• Support operations to optimize processes, productivity, and quality.
• Ensure 100% planned hours are recorded.
• Identify opportunities for growth within the area.
• Ensure contractual deliverables are met/exceeded.
• Complete PDP and attend staff meetings.
• Build productive relationships with clients within the program.
• Perform other related duties.

• Drive system of systems integration to deliver enterprise command and control capabilities

• Define methodologies while continuously improving processes toacquireand integrate data

• Identifyother space domain data sources

• Provide advice, guidance, and technical solutions for the integration of both unstructured and structure data

• Evaluate existing data architecture andinitiatestrategic steps to enable modernization

• Analyze andestablishdata management plans, processes, products, and tools to improve the overall data integration strategy currently in place

• Collaborate with US Government/mission partners, international partners, industry, FFRDCs, academia,etc.to define, architect, and implement data sharing procedures in the Unified Data Library (UDL) and Warp Core (Kobayashi Maru data library)

• Support development of the UDL and Warp Core architecture to support software applications development

• Support the software and hardware design activities of data sharing architecture to include cross-domain solutions, Virtual Private Network architectures, cloud architectures

• Work with Government accreditors to ensure the architecture is compliant across multiple cyber boundaries

• Support operational strategies aligned within yourprogram and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions.

• Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded

• Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area

• Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction

• Completes personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)

• Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Clearance: TS/SCI with SAP Eligibility

Educationand Years of Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, STEM, or Cyberand 8+ years of relevant experience

• Design andmaintaindatabases, including management, setup, and optimization

• Design, build, andmaintaininterfaces between difference data structures and related applications

• Perform data integration in distributed cloud/hybrid environments

• Design and implement data security policies to protect sensitive information from being compromised

• Recognize and recommend changes to operations procedures to improve data integration activities

• Record, track, and report integration performance and software quality metrics

• Document anddemonstratesolutions via flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code

• Author scripts to automate data integration processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error

• Work in an Agile software development environment that requires collaboration with development teams

• Manage data integration efforts for all phases of the software development life cycle

• Adequate knowledge of United Data Library, Warp Core, and other DoD/Space Force/Space Domain Awareness data source
