Aether Aerospace is seeking a CloudDevOps Engineer II to assess cloud infrastructure needs, deploy OpenStack distributions, and design private cloud solutions integrated with hybrid platform management and identity services.
You will automate build pipelines, migrations, security, and compliance, manage cloud and on-prem networking, and implement enterprise monitoring with dashboards and alerts. Active Secret clearance desired with 8+ years of related experience.

As a CloudDevOpsEngineer II, you will assess cloud infrastructure needs,assistin selecting and deploying OpenStack distributions, and design private cloud solutions integrated with hybrid platform management, identity management, and R&D infrastructure. You will support automation efforts for build pipelines, migrations, security, and compliance while managing cloud andon-premisenetworking. Your responsibilities include implementing andmaintainingcloud infrastructure, performing administrative tasks, and supporting applications. You will enhance security by applying patches, conducting security reviews, and managing access controls while helping implement enterprise monitoring solutions using industry-standard tools. Additionally, you will document processes, train development teams,identifyautomation opportunities, and develop scalable monitoring solutions, dashboards, and alerts, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
The proposed salary range for this position is up to $119,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. Analyze cloud infrastructure needs andparticipatein selecting and deploying OpenStack distributions
Design and implement private cloud infrastructure while ensuring full integration with hybrid cloud platforms and identity management
Support automation of build pipelines, migrations, security, and compliance in cloud environments
Manage TCP/IP networking in both cloud andon-premiseenvironments
Implement and manage enterprise monitoring solutions using industry-standard technologies
Perform cloud tool administrative tasks, provide application support, and ensure security compliance
Develop monitoring dashboards, escalations, and alerting solutions
Transfer knowledge through documentation and training for the software development organization
Collaborate with business technology peers and management to meet organizational objectives
Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions
Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
Identifyand forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
Participate in growth efforts as requested
Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
Complete personal PDP and attend staff meetings and Storytime (with the camera on)
Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program
Execute all contract requirements as assignedin accordance withthe contract-specific LCAT and requirements
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience:Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience
Experienced in frequent use and application of cloud and information technology standards, principles, and theories
Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and security principles
Proficiencyin scripting or programming for cloud automation
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as PagerDuty, Microsoft OMS, or Azure monitoring solutions
DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
At least one cloud certification
Experience with OpenStack distributionselectionand deployment
Knowledge of private cloud infrastructure design and implementation
Understanding of hybrid cloud platform management and identity management integration
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking in cloud andon-premiseenvironments
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
