Job summary

EXPANSIA, located in Hollywood, MD, is seeking a Material Control Handler to support aerospace manufacturing operations. The role involves receiving, identifying, storing, issuing, and tracking raw materials, components, and tooling throughout production.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain Secret clearance. Familiarity with materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, plastics) and inventory controls is needed; forklift experience is preferred to lift

Responsibilities

• Verifying incoming material against purchase orders and packing documentation.

• Recording material movement within the inventory/production-control system.
• Stage work for machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and outside processing while maintaining separation of conforming, nonconforming, customer-furnished, and government-furnished property.

Aether Aerospace is currently seeking aMaterial Control Handler.The Material Control Handler supports aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturing operations by receiving,identifying, storing, issuing, and tracking raw materials, components, tooling, andcompletedhardware throughout the production process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verifying incoming material against purchase orders and packing documentation

• Reviewing material certifications

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Experience and Education: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

• Familiar withvarious typesof raw material and able toidentify(Aluminum, Steel, Stainless,etc)

• Organized and familiar withmaintainingan inventory system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years oflogisticsexperience

• Able to lift more than 50lbs

• Able to operator forklifts

• Capable of accurately interpreting part numbers, purchase orders, drawings, and material documentation.

• Experience handling metals and manufactured components—including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, plastics, and specialty materials—preferred.

$18.51 - $24.82 an hour

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
