Overview

Full‑time / Permanent Employee. Immediate start. Our client is seeking a full‑time entry level Electrical Engineer to support aerospace and defense programs including aircraft system integration, schematic development, and printed circuit board design. The engineer will contribute to both new and existing projects involving signal and power routing, cable design, aircraft schematic interpretation, and PCB development and testing. Location: Hollywood, MD.

The proposed salary range for this position is up to $60,000. Salary is influenced by Federal Government contract labor categories, contract wage rates, prior work experience, relevant skills, certifications, geography, education, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Develop system‑level electrical schematics for aircraft and ground‑based systems.
• Design and document cable fabrication drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Interpret and generate aircraft electrical schematics and power distribution architectures.
• Develop PCB designs from schematic capture through fabrication package (Gerbers, BOMs, etc.).
• Conduct electrical integration and testing of system prototypes and production systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to ensure complete system integration.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE) from an ABET‑accredited institution and 1 year of printed circuit board development experience.
• Proficient in analog and digital design, including signal and power requirements.
• Knowledgeable in DC‑DC converters, op‑amp circuits, filters, and signal integrity.
• Experience creating and managing schematic and PCB libraries, BOMs, and fabrication outputs.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for schematics and drawings.
• Proficient in CAD or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development.
