Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead Salvage, Recycling, and E-waste activities, directing daily operations and guiding the team toward short- and long-term success.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, safety and compliance, and partner with community organizations to advance the GCNA mission while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years supervisory experience or equivalent work experience
• One year customer service experience required
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to pass a background check where applicable

Responsibilities

• Maintains department operations plans to achieve growth targets for profit and revenue
• Monitors and records product levels daily to meet sales budget
• Manages payroll and operating costs to budget
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers and team members; ensures excellent customer service
• Maintains relationships with shipping companies and salvage buyers
• Partners with community businesses to promote the GCNA mission
• Acts as goodwill ambassador to the community
• Makes day-to-day operation decisions within defined area
• Ensures proper handling and environmentally responsible disposal of e-waste per regulations
• Ensures team members operate per company standards on Security, Health and Safety; addresses hazards
• Collaborates with Asset Protection, HR, Safety, Finance to meet goals and ensure policy compliance
• Builds a high-performing team; handles coaching, disciplinary actions, and reviews
• Implements Goodwill Core Values: Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, Innovation
• Drives culture change and change management processes
• Performs other related duties as assigned
