Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHEAST IOWA, INC. in Oelwein, IA is hiring an E-Merchandise Shipper responsible for assisting customers, processing shipments, and stocking products.

You will load and unload trailers, verify items, and ensure correct labeling and delivery while maintaining a clean, safe facility. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible availability including evenings and weekends, and a strong commitment to Goodwill values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; substitutes may apply.
• Must have a positive attitude and motivate others.
• Can lift, push, or pull 50 pounds with assistance.
• Loyalty to the agency and its policies.
• Reliable transportation and flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to use good judgment, discretion, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensures appropriate item is pulled according to pick ticket.
• Thoroughly examines each item to ensure that the product is described and not altered/damaged.
• Packages item in appropriate container with protective material.
• Prints and affixes label so that correct item is delivered to correct person/address.
• Maintains hourly shipping average of no less than 8 items.
• Theft is prevented by remaining alert and notifying management of any suspicious activities.
• Assists with shoveling snow, replacing light bulbs, washing windows, and upkeep.
• Maintains top-flight condition and appearance of facility by housekeeping and safety focus.
• Minimizes waste expense and maximizes salvage revenue by recycling as many products as possible.
• Ensures equipment is in safe operating condition and safeguards are in place.
• Ensures shipping materials are maintained and orders for material are conducted as directed.
• Completes all duties of the job and work requirements.
