Work Schedule: 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 3:00:00 AM)

Pay Range: $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

Summary

This position will work with the Program Manager and content experts to create online learning modules and live web-based training sessions and supporting materials following an instructional design process for the IPCE office’s portfolio of electronic CE programs. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of electronic learning management systems.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of continuing education accreditation standards.
  • Analyzing and applying trends in learning technologies and instructional design.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, administration and external business associates.
  • Detail oriented and ability to apply adult learning principles.
  • Good technical aptitude to learn and gain proficiency with electronic systems (i.e. PARS, Blackboard, SharePoint, Droople, Moodle, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Occasional in-town and out-of-town travel to conferences may be required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratives with faculty and colleagues to analyze instructional outcomes and provide expertise in the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality online learning experiences.
  • Synthesizes and records/writes/edits course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, and adult learning principles.
  • Utilizes eLearning development tools and CE-specific software (i.e. Panopto, PARS) as part of course development.
  • Acts as IPCE liaison with Rush online users and vendor support (i.e. CMETracker).
  • Facilitates launch of online Continuing Education (CE) courses and digital recordings, including review of CE documentation/application and assuring adherence to appropriate regulatory standards.
  • Develops and maintains relationship with CE faculty (MDs, RNs, SW, etc) in support of the development of and assurance of continuing relevance of online courses.
  • Provides technical support for CE faculty utilizing e-learning systems (i.e. CMETracker, Moodle).
  • Collaborates with identified team members to initiate and implement long-term CE outcome follow-up for electronic CE programs.
  • Collects and analyzes data and creates outcome reports to support current electronic learning practices or identify areas for improvement.
