This range is provided by Trilogy. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$200.00/hr - $200.00/hr

You've successfully transformed an idea from concept to reality and are now seeking your next impactful project—one that aligns with both urgency and ethical principles. If you're passionate about revolutionizing the U.S. education system for gifted students, we want to hear from you.

At gt.school, we're on a mission to reshape education for talented learners. Our innovative 2 Hour Learning model condenses the academic schedule, allowing students to engage in meaningful challenges. We're now set to create a physical model campus that incorporates leadership, competition, and a thriving community environment.

As a Program Director, you'll spearhead the creation, validation, and launch of this campus model, aiming to set the standard for a future network. Your role involves experimenting with real-world programs, generating parent interest, cultivating a lasting culture, and developing scalable strategies. Rather than refining an existing institution, you'll be defining and operationalizing excellence on a grand scale.

We're seeking someone with entrepreneurial spirit and credibility. A visionary who understands that great ideas require relentless execution. A leader who can transform a bold vision into a school that captivates both parents and students.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Creating and piloting programs that extend beyond traditional academics, emphasizing leadership, autonomy, and healthy competition
  • Establishing and refining a physical model campus, including staffing, spatial planning, and operational logistics
  • Crafting parent-centric messaging, marketing tactics, and expansion strategies to drive growth
  • Establishing, documenting, and disseminating standards and cultural practices across future campuses
  • Serving as the spokesperson for the model, enhancing visibility through media, events, and alliances

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Overseeing a conventional school with standard classrooms, faculty, and an all-day schedule
  • Appeasing families looking for low-intensity gifted programs with basic AP courses
  • Implementing minor adjustments within existing schools—we're focused on replacing them, not fixing
  • Pursuing superficial engagement metrics—our focus is on meaningful outcomes and profound learning
  • Operating entirely remotely—you'll have flexibility but will need to spend approximately one week per month in Austin for hands-on work

Program Director Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, validation, and expansion of a high-caliber gifted school model, starting with a prototype campus and scaling to a national network.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience in building and scaling a high-impact venture from the ground up (preferably involving physical operations or education)
  • Profound, personal insight into the needs of gifted students through personal, professional, or lived experiences
  • Proficient in using AI tools to enhance execution and decision-making processes
  • Demonstrated ability to present a compelling vision and convert skeptics into advocates
  • Reside in the U.S. with the capability to travel to Austin regularly (at least one week per month)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship
