Job summary

Albemarle is hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for an on-site role in Magnolia, AR. The position focuses on electrical and instrumentation maintenance to support production and non-production units.

The candidate will install, repair, and troubleshoot instruments and electrical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in safety programs. Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and motor controls is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in instrumentation, electronics/electrical, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years field experience in electrical and instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of process instrumentation and motor controls maintenance.
• Excellent people skills; customer focused, and a team player.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays or shift schedule; respond to call outs on a non-routine basis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety tailgate meetings, follow safety work rules and procedures.
• Install, maintain and repair instruments, electrical and pneumatic equipment and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot problems related to E&I systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance for process safety, ISO, environmental and critical instruments.
• Complete work orders by priority and report time via SAP.
• Support project implementations by commenting on instrument specs and calibrations.
• Mark up as-built drawings to reflect field changes.

Albemarle is hiring for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. This position is on-site and located in Magnolia, AR. This role is focused primarily on performing electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks in support of production and non-production units.

What You Will Do

• Participate in safety tailgate meetings, follow Albemarle safety work rules and procedures, perform JSA’s, maintain safety awareness, SCAN (Survey, Consider, Act, Notify), NFPA 70E guidelines, and NEC guidelines.
• Install, maintain and repair instruments, electrical and pneumatic equipment and instrumentation. This includes transmitter, analyzers, On/Off valves, control valves, motors, motor controls, motor switch gear, variable frequency drives, soft starts , lighting, lighting controls, transformers, high voltage switchgear, high voltage cutouts, signal multiplexing systems, flame management systems, UPS systems, video camera systems, security systems.
• Troubleshoot problems related to E&I systems.
• Perform weekly/monthly/annual PM items for process safety, ISO, environmental and critical instruments.
• Complete work orders by priority. Manage time keeping for each work order and report time per work order via SAP system.
• Purchase repair materials through SRM.
• Be available for callout and/or shift assignment.
• Support project implementation by commenting on instrument specifications, drawings, assist in installations, calibrations, loop checking and supporting startups.
• Mark up as-built drawings to reflect changes associated with field installations.

What You Bring

Required:

• Candidate should possess an Associate's degree in the field of instrumentation, electronics/electrical, or equivalent experience.
• Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years field experience in electrical and instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of process instrumentation and motor controls maintenance.
• Excellent people skills; customer focused, and a team player.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays or shift schedule; respond to call outs on a non-routine basis.
