Job description

Smurfit Westrock Sawmill in Cottonton, AL is looking to fill an open position for an E&I Technician.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years industrial E&I experience
• 2-4 years industrial E&I certificate/diploma from accredited school
• Ability to work safely / understands Lock out / Tag out
• Ability to interpret electrical and instrumentation schematics and drawings
• Ability to use electrical test equipment, multi meter, megger, amp probe
• Good understanding of PLCs and ladder logic
• Trouble shoot electrical issues independently
• Familiar with480v 3 phase motor starters
• Ability to trouble shoot240v, 120v, and 24v circuits
• Good understanding of hydraulic systems and the ability to troubleshoot
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives
• Available to work overtime and 3rdshift
• High School Diploma or GED
