Job summary

AGP Ag Processing Inc seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to lead a team responsible for PLCs, HMIs, and plant electrical systems at the St. Joseph refinery. You will drive reliability, modernization, and safe operation in a hands-on leadership role.

The role requires 3+ years with industrial electrical systems and PLC programming, plus a technical degree is preferred. Expect collaboration with management, engineers, and external partners in a high-impact manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and process control systems.
• Experience with instrumentation installation, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience with training and mentoring others.
• Solid project management skills with multiple priorities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication with management, vendors, and consultants.
• Comfortable using computer hardware, software, spreadsheets, databases, and technical applications.
• Committed to evolving technologies and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and process control systems.
• Drive system improvements from concept through installation.
• Plan calibrations, inspections, and preventive maintenance with proper documentation.
• Coordinate projects with contractors, vendors, and leadership.
• Design and deliver training programs for PLC, HMI, and electrical systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and change records.
• Support capital planning with cost estimates and recommendations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with prescribed procedures.
