Job summary

Walker Lovell seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability Program Manager to lead an enterprise-wide reliability initiative across multiple operating sites. You will drive asset performance, set technical standards and partner with site teams, with up to 35% travel.

You’ll report to senior leadership and shape capital and reliability improvements while mentoring engineers in E&I best practices and process safety disciplines, reflecting seniority and enterprise-wide scope.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in electrical engineering in petrochemical, refining, chemical or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proven expertise developing reliability strategies and lifecycle plans for electrical and instrumentation assets.
  • Strong knowledge of IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC and API standards; PSM, SIS, IEC 61511, ISA 84 and SIL expertise highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the enterprise E&I reliability program, identifying gaps and improving equipment availability across multiple operating sites.
  • Lead failure and root cause analyses, lifecycle strategies and the transition toward condition-based maintenance where appropriate.
  • Shape E&I standards and technical decisions across reliability, improvement and capital projects, while coaching site teams and sharing best practices.
  • Strengthen electrical and process safety performance through HAZOP, LOPA and SIL support, NEC compliance, power reliability and electrical system studies.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of relevant IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC and API standards, with PSM, SIS, IEC 61511, ISA 84 and SIL expertise highly valued.
  • Credible cross-functional influence, combining analytical capability with the communication and change-leadership skills to work effectively across organisational levels.
