Job summary

Kodiak Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to perform daily quality inspections for industrial construction projects in Texas. You will verify instrument and electrical installations against drawings, specs, codes and QITPs, documenting deficiencies and supporting testing and turnover.

The role requires 4+ years QA/QC in E/I fabrication/testing, 6+ years EI industrial experience, and familiarity with industry codes.

Qualifications

• Data Center Experience.
• 4+ years of QA/QC experience in fabrication/testing/installation of E/I essential.
• 6+ years related experience in E/I industrial work.
• Technical knowledge in engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection and testing.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to E/I installation and testing.
• Strong computer skills in Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all Instrument and Electrical installations to ensure compliance with drawings, client standards and codes.
• Interact with field supervision to confirm installations meet drawings and standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervision, client and other contractors.
• Conduct drawing audits to ensure current revision drawings are used.
• Witness testing of cable hi-pots, megs, pressure tests and calibrations; record inspections.
• Spot-check materials for calibration certificates and report findings to QA/QC Manager.
• Keep a log of discrepancies and issue punch lists to QA/QC Manager.
• Facilitate project quality meetings when required.
• Knowledgeable in electrical OSHA rules and regulations.
