Responsibilities

Role Description

The E&I QC Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in the Permian basin, responsible for supporting quality control activities for electrical and instrumentation work on industrial projects. This position conducts inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards. The inspector performs and documents testing and calibration of instrumentation devices, reviews work packages and drawings, and prepares detailed inspection reports and non-conformance records as needed. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with construction teams and project management to resolve quality issues, monitoring corrective actions, and assisting in continuous improvement of quality procedures. The role also involves promoting a strong safety culture, participating in pre-job meetings, and ensuring that all quality-related documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including understanding of QC procedures, documentation, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Candidates should possess practical Instrumentation and Calibration skills, including experience with field instruments, control systems, and verification of instrument accuracy.
• Candidates should possess Inspection skills, including conducting visual and functional inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations and preparing detailed inspection reports.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of industrial electrical systems, applicable codes (such as NEC), and construction drawings, with the ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Relevant experience in E&I inspection within heavy industrial, oil and gas, or renewable projects is highly beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with construction and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and jobsite safety practices; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
