Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Garyville, Louisiana, seeks a motivated, team-oriented individual to provide project management and Electrical & Instrumentation engineering services for a refinery operations team. Projects range from $20,000 to $5,000,000 and require managing multiple projects concurrently.

The role emphasizes MOC/PSI compliance, collaboration with design teams, and delivering complete DSPs for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Electrical degree preferred.
• 2+ years of industry experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with process measurement and control, instrument equipment, SIS design, MOC processes, and industry standards (NFPA, ISA, IEEE, NEMA, API).

Responsibilities

• Applies project management across all phases: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up.
• Manages multiple projects/programs safely, within budget and schedule.
• Ensures compliance with MOC, PSI, and mechanical integrity documentation.
• Coordinates with in-house designers and outside consultants to complete projects and studies cost-effectively.
• Develops scope, estimates, and schedules; prepares DSPs for leadership review.
• Collaborates with Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
• Develops construction packages to meet MPC and industry codes and standards.
