Job summary

International Paper in Mansfield, LA is seeking a Maintenance E&I Level III. This role supports journeyman IEs in routine maintenance and performs many duties independently, including electrical circuit troubleshooting, conduit and wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting, drive troubleshooting, and HVAC work.

Minimum qualifications include ten years in maintenance, instrumentation and electrical skill areas, a HS diploma or GED, and an industrial technology degree or certificate.

• Skills in instrumentation and electrical disciplines.
• Willingness to work any/rotating shift and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to operate in industrial environments and use safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman IE in routine maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and drives.
• Install conduit and wiring; perform lighting and HVAC work.
• Calibrate instrumentation and control valves; troubleshoot PLCs.

The Job You Will Perform:

This new position will assist journeyman-level IEs in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.

Duties for IEs include, but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting & repair, conduit & wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting & repair, drive troubleshooting & repair, Instrumentation & control valve calibration, troubleshooting & repair, and HVAC work.

The Skills You Will Bring:

Minimum Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in any of the following Maintenance
• Skill Areas: INSTRUMENTATION, ELECTRICAL.
• Must be currently 18 years of age or older and eligible for employment in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Industrial technology degree or certificate from accredited college or trade school in Instrumentation or Electrical disciplines
• Basic computer skills
• Able to function in a team environment.

PLUS: Must be willing to meet the following requirements:

• Pre-employment and periodic drug screens for illicit use of drugs
• Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
• Work overtime, holidays and/or weekends regularly and with last minute notification.
• Wear required safety equipment
• Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience with and troubleshooting skills for the following:
• High-voltage and power distribution
• AC and DC motors and drives
• Control systems (DCS, PLCs, PCs, Analytical Equipment)
• Control valves
• Pneumatics, hydraulics, calibration, and use of test equipment
• Knowledge of P&IDs, instrument loops, and electrical schematics
• Strong math/physics understanding.
• Instrumentation background on the Instrumentation Electrical side.
