Job summary

Nutrien's Geismar, LA site is seeking an E&I Maintenance Superintendent to lead the Instrument and Electrical Maintenance team in daily operations, safety, and reliability. You will develop and manage work scopes, outages, and budgeting while mentoring technicians.

The role requires extensive I&E maintenance experience in petrochemical settings, leadership ability, and familiarity with NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, ISA standards, and NEC. A four-year degree is preferred; TWIC is a plus.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree is preferred (not required) with preference for Electrical Engineering or similar electrical-based technology.
• 10 years I&E Maintenance experience in petrochemical or related industry required, including 3 years of leadership experience.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards including NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, ISA 81, ISA 61511, and NETA are preferred.
• Analytical and controls systems experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety everyday through leadership and direction to achieve Nutrien's safety vision Home Safe Everyday.
• Lead the daily activities of the Instrument and Electrical Maintenance team.
• Develop and manage I&E work scope on daily and weekly schedules, turnaround, and routine outages.
• Manage emergency work and ensure mitigation of plant vulnerabilities.
• Communicate across site teams and support other department efforts as required.
• Lead/Participate in incident investigations as required.
• Ensure compliance in areas of responsibility, including but not limited to: SIS testing requirements; Environmental analyzers; PM’s; MOC’s; PSM Corrective Action as assigned.
• Manage cost targets as required (i.e. yearly budget, overtime, contract bids, change order management, etc…).
• Manage / Implement instrument and electrical safety programs and procedure consistent with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards.
• Responsible for providing technical support and training to technicians.
• Coordinate / Manage / Optimize execution of preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting complex instruments, control, and electrical problems.
