Job summary

Genesis Staffing seeks an experienced E&I Designer Level IV in Chickasaw, AL for onsite electrical/instrumentation design in industrial plants. You will develop detailed, code-compliant solutions and coordinate with multiple disciplines in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes independent work on complex tasks, mentoring junior designers, and delivering complete design packages with field support. Onsite work with access to field walks is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial electrical and instrumentation design experience.
• NCCER Electrical Certification Plus and NCCER Instrumentation Certification Plus required.
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and familiarity with CADWorx 3D/Navisworks.
• Experience reading P&IDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical/instrumentation systems, including switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, and power distribution.
• Produce one-lines, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, panel layouts, and as-built docs.
• Use AutoCAD extensively and coordinate with other disciplines in projects.
• Perform field walks and support design modifications and constructible solutions.
