Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking a Design Supervisor - E&I to lead our Baton Rouge team. The role is full-time with occasional site travel and focuses on supervising drafting resources, mentoring staff, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are met.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of field and design experience, strong communication, and a proactive, organized approach to management and resource allocation in multi-discipline projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 15+ years working experience.
• Previous project schedule and budget management experience.
• Field experience, able to walk down project per the client scope.
• Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and mentors staff on multi-disciplined projects.
• Maintains a competent drafting staff across disciplines.
• Orients new employees of the drafting resource group.
• Ensures staff are trained on required software.
• Evaluates drafting personnel and performance.
• Manages salary administration for drafting resources.
• Assigns work and staffs projects with drafting resources.
• Monitors drafting progress on all projects.
• Audits drawings for completeness and standards adherence.
• Schedules Lunch and Learns to educate the drafting team.

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Design Supervisor - E&I to lead our Baton Rouge team.

Position Type: FT

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required

Responsibilities include:

• Supervises and mentors staff.
• Maintains a competent staff of drafters, designers, and checkers capable of working on multi-disciplined projects.
• Responsible for orienting all new employees of the drafting resource group.
• Ensures employees within drafting are properly trained on required software.
• Responsible for evaluating all employees of drafting.
• Responsible for salary administration for all drafting resources.
• Responsible for assigning work and staffing projects with drafting resources.
• Monitors drafting progress for all projects.
• Audits drawings on a regular basis for completeness and adherence to standards.
• Ensures all drawings are properly checked.
• Schedules "Lunch and Learns" to further educate those within Drafting.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 15+ years working experience
• Previous project schedule and budget management experience.
